Insignia 26" LCD/DVD Combo HDTV. Won't turn on.(help please)?

Just an hour ago my tv just flashed mulitple times with static. I tried turning it back on but it just didn't do anything. I also noticed that light in the corner wasn't on when its suppose to be( suppose to be orange when ready to turn on). I also tried pulling out the cord for an hour to let it cool down, but still no use. Anything i could do?

Well I work at the place where you bought the TV (Insignia is a Best Buy brand, so I know that's where you got it), and that actually isn't a problem that I have heard of before. However, TVs with built-in DVD players do seem to have problems more often than those without.

Considering that the TV won't even turn on, it could be one of two problems:
1. A bad power cord. You can have Best Buy order a new one for you, but it will take about 5 days.
2. Your TV has died. Hate to say it, but this is the more likely option. If you bought the TV within the last 30 days, bring it back to the store and return it. If it wasn't in the last 30 days but it was within the last year, call the manufacturer since that should be covered under the 1-year manufacturer's warranty considering that it is a problem with the TV.

The easiest thing to do would be to just have Best Buy fix the tv...did you purchase the 4 year warranty? If so, just take the TV into the store and Geeksquad will fix it, and if they cannot fix it, they will replace it.
