How do I use a flat panel monitor and my laptop as a dual monitor?
I've got a pretty new laptop, so I think it'll be able to dual monitor with a normal flat panel monitor? If so what cables would I need and any other info?
What they are suggesting is not dual displays, but using a monitor instead of the laptop screen.
You need to go to your display properties, and tell it to use the screen as a second monitor. I do this in Windows XP by right clicking on a 'blank' spot on the desktop, and choosing properties. You can also get there through control panel. Check out the link below.
