How to fix LCD TV video problem?
I have a Prima LC-32U16 which turns on but the video rarely works properly. Most of the time the screen flickers and I can see faintly that it says "no signal" eventually the screen will go blue. After fooling around turning the tv on and off and cycling through the inputs. I have taken the back panel off and I can hear a clicking noise which is consistant with the screen flickering from the circuit board between the hdmi input board on the left side and the tuner input board on the right side. I assume it is the main control board. Does anyone have any recommendations?
1 of the backlights could of failed if it is coming on and off and going faint. Or maybe it has overheated. but the clicking suggests one of the backlights is gone. Just get a new 1, they're so cheap now it's not worth repairing. Even a new Samsung or LG or Vestel (Hitachi etc) will be superior and last longer and cost hardly nothing.
