Samsung HL-85087W Dark Picture?
When we turn the TV on it takes awhile for the screen to show and then its very dark, no matter how much we adjust the setting, is this the bulb or color wheel? The manufacture date is 03/2007
It's the lamp...Lamps provide LIGHT
Color wheels provide COLOR.
And dark lamps take a long time to show a picture.
Now....go to the LEFT side of your projection TV set, and there should be a little tag on the side of the TV set that shows the Lamp's part number. That's where it is on US models, so I'll assume that applies to Non-US models too.
You can find that lamp ONLINE, and I suggest you get it from Samsung's website, because their prices for their lamps are the lowest of all manufacturers out there.
