I have a Blue Ray Samsung Dvd player and on my plasma 1080i it does not play as well on my 1080p LCD, why?
Both are samsung 50'
I think what you're trying to say is that the Blu-ray player looks better on the Plasma rather then the LCD even though the Plasma is 720p(1080i) and the LCD is 1080p!
The reason for this is because the Plasma has a much higher refresh rate! The higher the refresh rate, the smoother and more detailed the picture quality will be! I will venture to guess that the Plasma is at 480hz or 600hz. And the LCD is most likely 60hz...maybe 120hz or 240hz!
Plasma's are superior to LCD's when it comes to sharp and smooth playback of fast motion content like sports, movies and gaming. Their super fast refresh rates and near instant response times(.001ms) are unbeatable! And this is why the Plasma looks better!!!
