i just bought a new 46" sony bravia lcd and have a few questions?

1. if i leave it on for 6 hours does this damage it?
2. how long will it last because my last lcd blew out
3.what can i do to keep it running long cause i paid a thousad dollars for it?

1. No.
2. You'll only know when it fails. Could be anything from tomorrow to 10 or more years from now.
3. Make sure it has adequate ventilation (no enclosed cabinet). Don't damage the screen by cleaning it wrong (see the link below for the way to do it right). Keep careless children away from it. Don't allow food or drinks close to it. And most important of all, use a good surge protector, with at least a 1000 joule rating (2 to 4K is better).
